Who am I and how can I help you?

My name is Barr Lewis, I divide my time between the Eastern Townships in Quebec and St. John in the Virgin Islands. I love living in beautiful places and I try to avoid the coldest weather in the north and the hottest in the islands. I am an artist/writer/Web site designer for fun and for profit.

When personal computers were first becoming common in households, late 80's early 90's, I had a computer graphics business in sunny Southern California The focus of my very small company (I was the janitor too) was mainly on packaging but I also producing collateral material, magazines and newsletters. Some of the larger companies I produced artwork for were KMart, Doc's Hi Tech, ToysRUs, the San Bernardine Medical Center and the San Bernardino Area Chamber of Commerce. Modems were used for the transferring of files to and from service bureaus, not surfing. The world has changed a lot since then.

Several years ago I designed my first site, www.colorandpassion.com, to display my art portfolio and it was as simple as that. I became addicted to the Web and designing for it.

Since that first site I have developed and designed many sites. Each one is uniquely fashioned for the market it targets, user friendly, and substantial in content. My current portfolio of sites can be viewed here.

Most of my jobs remain with me for maintenance, enhancing and promoting, but it is particularly fun for me to teach as I create in order that the site owner may eventually take over.

And apart from all that I still paint, exhibit and sell my artwork: in the islands, stateside and in Quebec. If you are in the US Virgin Islands my art can be found at Syzygy Gallery where I recently have become an owner. Syzygy Gallery is found in the dusty community of Coral Bay on the East end of St. John.
